Abstract. The ways to realize the advantages of the technology of building buildings from volumetric modules are considered. The widespread introduction of modular construction technology will make it possible in a short time to provide the population with durable housing that meets modern requirements for reliability, quality and comfort of living, including in those areas where the location of factories for the manufacture of building structures is not advisable for any reason. The domestic and foreign construction experience is considered, confirming the potential of this technology. Currently, the limiting factors for the mass adoption of this technology are still the lack of experience in modular construction, the need for retrofitting or new construction of module production plants, as well as the lack of regulatory documents that take into account the design features of both individual modules and the modular building as a whole. Examples of nodal intermodule connections for modules made of reinforced concrete, metal and wood are presented, as well as examples of specialized foundation parts designed to align modules on metal and wooden frames when they are placed on a reinforced concrete base.
Keywords: modular building, three-dimensional block construction, nodal junctions, intermodular joints, three-dimensional reinforced concrete blocks, regulatory documents
