Abstract. The article summarizes the international experience of designing off-road construction facilities, focusing on the features of their integration into the urban environment. The architecture of the above-ground buildings is utilitarian and must strictly comply with the social order. Their spatial planning solutions are formed based on typological criteria, depending on the topographic conditions of the place, the urban situation and the functional tasks of the projected object. Off-road structures contribute to the preservation and development of existing communication systems; optimization of transport and pedestrian flows; the formation of new social and business centers, residential complexes with appropriate infrastructure; the formation of new landscaped common areas and public spaces; the increase in landscaping. The main principles of the formation of off-road construction facilities are the sustainable development of settlements, a multi-level communication scheme, and commercial efficiency.
