Abstract. The operation mode of PVC membranes in Moscow on real construction sites with a reinforced foundation pit (according to the "wall in the ground" scheme) is considered. The peculiarities of the work of waterproofing polymer materials in reinforced pits on vertical and horizontal surfaces are noted. Static puncture tests were carried out according to the standard methodology of four different waterproofing systems. The work was carried out on the basis of the laboratory of SIC "Building Technologies and Materials". Based on the test results, a conclusion was made about the effectiveness of using PVC membranes for waterproofing underground structures of buildings and structures in reinforced pits ("wall in the ground"). The combination of LOGICBASETV-SL PVC membrane and polypropylene geotextile with a density of 500 g/m2 has the highest puncture resistance, which indicates the need to use polypropylene geotextile instead of polyester geotextile at facilities with a high and high level of responsibility (for example, nuclear power plants, etc.).
