Abstract. The results of experimental studies to assess the seismic resistance of the spatial system of a fragment of the glass facade of an external self-supporting translucent enclosing structure with vertical (made on a ratio) and horizontal (coating) decorative elements made of aluminum alloys are analyzed. A description of the constructive solution of the rack-and-crossbar facade system is given. Dynamic tests were carried out on a two-component vibration platform. The issues that need to be addressed during tests using seismic platforms are considered. Examples from the world practice of building glass facades in earthquake-prone regions are given. The results of experimental studies of the spatial glass facade on the effect of a seismic load simulating a seismic impact are presented in the form of accelerograms and reaction spectra from the test equipment. The reaction spectra obtained from the experiment are compared with the standard spectra. The Fourier spectra of the natural oscillations of the experimental sample are constructed. The experiment showed the possibility of applying the proposed design solution of a glass-transparent system in earthquake-prone regions.
