    Abstract. In accordance with the current regulatory documentation, the construction quality assurance system must be carried out by professional specialists, the requirements for whom are defined by the relevant professional standard. However, educational institutions produce engineers of this specialization very few. Until recently, there was not a single higher educational institution in our country, which would include a department that conducted professional training and scientific activities on control and supervisory activities in the construction industry. Two years ago, the Department of Testing Structures was recreated at NRU MGSU. Its main purpose is to train specialists (bachelors and masters) in the field of construction control, inspection of buildings and structures, monitoring, as well as conducting various tests of building materials, structures and products. It is noted that more and more graduate students of the department are studying organizational structures and methods of forming building control organization systems. It is also important that teachers, masters and graduate students of the department actively conduct economic contract work at significant facilities both in Russia and abroad, helping to successfully implement the most ambitious projects.
