Abstract. An analysis of the results of an experimental assessment of the fire resistance of light thin-walled steel constructions (LTWSC) made with the use of cold-formed galvanized profiles is made. The most common methods and means of fire protection used to ensure the fire resistance of LTWSC. The parameters and features of frame-sheathing structures and the materials and structural elements used in their composition, which affect the fire resistance of these structures, are described. The practical purpose of the tests was to obtain information to identify the properties that need to be taken into account when designing buildings using LTWSC technology, as well as to determine the maximum fire resistance limits achieved for cold-bent steel profile structures. As a result of the work performed, practical data on the limits of fire resistance of structures without fire protection and with the use of flame retardants were obtained, and their effectiveness was determined.
Key words: light thin-walled steel structures, fire resistance limit, standard tests, cold-formed galvanized profile, fire protection means.
