    Abstract. An innovative method for constructing vertical metal cylindrical tanks is proposed - an automatic spiral-wound welded method of prodicing from a steel stripp with the use of special equipment by winding and incrementing the belts directly on the construction site. It significantly reduces the construction time, improves the quality of welded joints, the accuracy of the geometric shape, and ergonomics. Another promising direction in isothermal tank construction is the patented technology "ecobeton" - concreting under ultra-high pressure in a water-aerosol environment using inflatable formwork. The use of fiber reinforced concrete with composite reinforcement (eco-fiber reinforced concrete) significantly increases the physical and mechanical characteristics compared to conventional reinforced concrete, reduces the cost and construction time. The most reliable and safe design of an isothermal tank is a ground-based heat-insulated full containment tank with a suspended gas-permeable roof. It proposes to use the hollow inter-wall space as an emergency and backup capacity. This significantly increases the cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, as well as the industrial and environmental safety of the structure.
