Abstract. In modern standards for the design of metal structures, provisions are not fixed that make it possible to calculate the steel frames of buildings, taking into account the flexibility of the nodal junctions of beams with columns. However, taking into account the real stiffness of a beam-to-column connection makes it possible to most accurately assess the actual operation of the structural elements of the frame and optimally design them in terms of material consumption and reliability. Today, using the computing power of personal computers, designers have great opportunities for numerical studies of the actual operation of individual structural elements, their node interfaces and buildings as a whole. This article is devoted to the numerical analysis of the stiffness of the flange joints of a beam with a column using the Femap with NX Nastran. On the basis of numerical studies, a formula for the angular stiffness of a flange joint was derived using the method of multiple regression analysis, which showed good convergence with the data of numerical calculations in the software package IDEA StatiCa, and made it possible to establish the dependence of compliance on the geometric parameters of the components of the beam-to-column connection. It was found that for less compliant nodes, the column stiffness has the greatest influence on the angle of rotation of the support section of the beam, and the bolts have the least. For more compliant joints, the effect of the bolts becomes significant.
