    Abstract. The paper examines the issues of qualitative improvement of the management of buildings operation. As a solution for large-scale objects of construction (a group of multi-storey buildings, high-rise houses, etc.), it is proposed to use the situation center (SC). The characteristic features of the SC, such as control from a separate room which has principally other functional possibilities, compared with the usual control room, the possibility of interactive discussion and decision-making by a group of specialists and experts, which is especially important in complex and force majeure situations, are presented. For this purpose, the SC must be equipped with a variety of visualization tools: different monitors and large screen suitable for joint discussion and decision-making. There should also be a variety of telecommunications facilities that provide interactive communication: conference, teleconferencing, mobile, stationary, and radio communication. Efficiency of application of the latest intelligent data processing methods (Big Data, etc.) when managing large-scale construction projects is substantiated.
