    Abstract. On the basis of system engineering construction in the article was described the original formal approach to the formulation and solution of the problem of constructing numerical representations of quality parameters living and working environment, safe and effective against Nature and Man, a satisfactory paradigm calculating IQ buildings (Building Intelligence Quotient (BIQ)). In addition, the author offers a formal statement of the problem, describes the foundations of mathematics processes, events and states, a method of constructing procedures describing the processes of technological dependency of the object.

  • The Use of the Generalized Computational Model of a Soil Foundation in Geotechnical Calculations

    Abstract: The paper presents the numeric-and-analytic solution of the problem on the action of a vertical concentrated force on an elastic non-homogeneous half-space whose deformation modulus increases with depth by the hyperbolic-power law. This solution is proposed to be used in the problems for calculating and designing foundations as a soil base calculation model. The analysis for boundary element solution of a spatial problem for a hexagonal foundation of an intermediate bridge support is given. The basic regularities of deformation of soil base have been found out, taking into account the change deformation properties in depth.

  • Innovations in Construction: It Is Not a Story Yet - the Major Story Lies Ahead

    Abtract. The author provides his approach to the relative assessment of innovations and research performed within the construction industry. The author identifies fifteen constituent positions that identify the essential content of construction operations. The author employs methods of expert appraisals to find out the values of the aforementioned constituent positions within the range of /+3/ - /-3/. The analysis and simple calculations of the relative assessment values has proven that the intensity of development and assimilation of innovations complies with the realistic state of affairs in the innovative development of the national economy.
