  • Complex Approach to Solution of Problem of Housing Construction Organization in the Russian Federation

    Abstract. Increase in volumes and improvement of quality of housing construction are the most important strategic tasks of not only the building industry, but also the whole national economy. The problems encountered in the course of implementation of these tasks have systemic, complex character. The article considers possible variants of their solution at different stages of an investment cycle: from decision-making on investments up to the exploitation of an object of housing construction.

  • Natural Vibrations of an Elastic Plate Hinged on the Contour and Lying in a Deformable Medium

    Abstract. The derivation of a frequency equation of natural vibrations of an elastic rectangular plate hinged on the contour and lying in a deformable medium with the use of the analytic method is considered. This method can be used to obtain dependences of changes of natural frequencies on materials of an element and its geometry.

    Abstract. Methods of the formation of variable density of a porous cellular structure of concrete are analyzed, the special scheme of production of variable density articles on its base making it possible to obtain materials with improved qualities is proposed. Basic physical-mechanical indexes of the products on the basis of variable density cellular concretes in comparison with analogue articles made of gas- and foam concretes are presented.

Results of the change of coefficients of concentration of elastic stresses in the cross-section of rods made of equal angles depending on the flange width, gusset thickness, length and leg of welded joints are presented on the basis of the study of stressed-strained state using the finite elements method in the area of gusset breakage on the back edge and point.

    Abstract. The technology of the use of automated spatial-coordinate shooting for monitoring the iconostasis of the New Jerusalem Monastery is presented. Results of the determination of stability of a fixed point of sight of the tacheometer for the mode of periodic monitoring are obtained. Factors influencing on the accuracy of the determination of the tacheometer's point of sight are determined. The measurement accuracy is assessed according to the coordinate distortion of the point of sight. Results of the measurement of real time shifting of the marked point are presented.

  • New Method for Strengthening Compressed-Bent Elements of Steel Structures

    Abstract. The problem of strengthening of structural elements with stresses close to maximum permissible values is emphasized. The stability of such elements can be achieved with the use of a special metal casing filled with a binding agent. To impart special properties (non-shrinkage, self-compactness et. al) to this material the special additives are used. The presented engineering solution has been protected with the patent for an invention and realized in the course of reconstruction of the administrative building in the city of Novy Urengoy.

Techniques and methods of reducing the initial moisture content of moulding compounds at the manufacture of foam concrete as the most promising solution of the problem of enhancement of its properties. The known methods of intensification of foam concretes production are considered. Processes taking place in the foam mass under the influence of hydro-heat-force field are reported.

  • Problems of Experimental Erection of a Large Span Bar-Cable Dome

    Abstract. Problems of the erection of an experimental large span bar-cable shell are considered. Methods for tensioning steel cables fastening the garlands from the zone of bearing joint of the structure have been developed. Small sized wooden elements of arches alternate with loose keys and simulate the spine column of human being and animals. The erected shell may rightly be called bionic. To introduce this design into construction practice the further studies are needed.

    Abstract. The structure of an investment-construction project (ICP) in the form of isolated blocks which combine the same types of work is presented. Structural interactions of blocks depending on the phase of a live cycle of ICP are considered. The presented stage-phase model makes it possible to form the enlarged organization structure of the executive system of ICP with certain interconnections which undergo changes in the course of the project realization.

    Abstract. Methods of processing and analysis of the data of monitoring system of bearing structures of a high-rise building are presented on the example of readings of strain gauges located in the walls of the 1-st floor. The parameters of variations are established, statistical processing is made with the assessment of accuracy of measurements, confidence intervals and required periodicity of data collection are determined. An issue of screening of strain gauges readings for comparison of predicted and real deformations in structures is also considered.

    Abstract. Results of the work for development and analysis of ready made formulas for calculation of statistically defined rafter systems are presented. The expressions obtained can be used for the fast calculation of internal forces (a bending moment, longitudinal and transverse forces) and linear movements of all points of a structure as well as for determination of reaction of supports. The control of accuracy of formulas is made by the SCAD sofware complex.

A step-by-step scheme of the formation of information parametric models of buildings, flexible planning structures of which can change the function of a building without deteriorating the quality of architectural environment is considered. The benefits of using the cluster (modular) design method are shown.

    Abstract. The endurance of buildings and structures is provided by stability of key elements in the structural system against various beyond design basis impacts. The transition from effects to loads is provided today through the model of unexpected breakdown of any bearing construction. It is proposed to add this calculated situation with fire effect and peculiarity of the operation of reinforced concrete elements under conditions of limited deformations.

    Abstract. A new approach to the analysis of stressed-strained state of junctions of reinforced concrete frame structures which together with the considered variant of the deformation theory of concrete plasticity making it possible to introduce more substantiated criteria of their resistance not only at limit stage but also at supercritical stage is proposed. Along with it the proper attention should be paid to the specifics of concrete resistance in the joint area connected with its higher deformability. It makes the analysis to be much closer to the real assessment of events taking place.

    Abstract. The analysis of known systems of automated control and regulation of heating shows the essential dependence of energy consumption for maintenance of a normalized heating rate indoors on the influence of solar radiation, and heat losses of external enclosing structures, especially with ventilated layers. On the basis of the theoretical study of heat-mass exchange on the surface of the ventilated layer the optimum temperature behaviour of a moving stream of the air, ensuring the reduction of heat losses by external enclosing structures is revealed.

    Abstract. The comparative analysis of energy indices of soil-pumping plants operation including the plants developed on the basis of composite materials is presented. The efficiency and reliability of operation are assessed by hydraulic characteristics and energy consumption for transportation of grain materials through different hydraulic fill pipelines. The use of composite materials for hydraulic fill pipelines and details of a pump makes it possible to increase the resource of the soil-pumping plant and distance of transportation of soil, to reduce operating expenses and energy consumption by 15-30%.

On the basis of such analysis the technique of an experimental assessment of parameters of survivability of loaded and corrosion-damaged reinforced concrete beam systems at the beyond design basis influence caused by the sudden destruction of elements in oblique section is offered.

    Abstract. The method of recalculation of characteristics of centrifugal pumps from water to viscoplastic suspensions, in which the coefficient of hydraulic friction taking into account the rheological properties of suspensions is taken as a basis for calculating is proposed. The problem of predicting the performance characteristics of centrifugal pumps pumping viscous-plastic suspensions is solved. Problems of movement of such fluids in channels of simple and also complex forms are mathematically justified.

  • Criterion of the Use of Pipework Pumps at Combined Water Mains of Well Water Intakes for the Purpose of Power Saving

    Abstract. The operation of large well waterside water intakes and methods of water transmission using the combined water mains to the water discharge place are analyzed. The reasonability and efficiency of water pumping through combined water mains with the use of well pumps are assessed. The coefficient of transmission kt making it possible to determine the conditions for the use of pipework pumps for water transmission in introduced. The effect of energy saving is based on the difference of efficiency factors of centrifugal pipework pumps and centrifugal well pumps with due regard for specificity of the water intake operation.

    Abstract. The series of tests on axial load of reinforced concrete columns for ten types of reinforcement has been conducted. Results of the study show the high strength of hybrid spiral reinforcement of concrete samples. The best of all is five-spiral reinforcement which also shows the high efficiency of production of such spirals for prefabricated structures.

    Abstract. A non-traditional geometric form of the roof of vertical cylindrical tanks is considered. The model aerodynamic study to define loadings under wind and snow impact has been conducted. The conceptual constructive decision of the roof for a steel vertical tank of 20 000 m3 volume is proposed. The results obtained prove that this constructive decision of the roof can be efficiently used in regions with a high value of snow loading.

    Abstract. The methodology and results of examination of the Shukhov radio tower's structures (Moscow) are presented; assessment of its operating conditions is made. The principal conclusion: taking into account the progressing character of corrosion processes, condition of the tower in any moment of time can go from unacceptable to an emergency.
