    Annotation. In recent years the big concern of experts is caused by ecological conditions of industrially developed regions, as a result of it there is a necessity of displacement of priorities from economic problems towards the ecological. The increasing attention is paid to the ecological justification of projects, and also organization and carrying out of production environmental monitoring (PEM) at stages of construction and operation of objects. The article is devoted to the main problems of organization and carrying out of PEM.

  • Modern Methods of Enhancement of Properties of Weak Soils of Construction Projects Bases

    Abstract. Alternative methods of enhancement of bearing and filtration properties of sandy-loam, suffusion-unstable, clay soils of buildings bases and areas of displacement of landslides on the slopes are considered. Examples of application of these methods in the practice of construction are given.

  • Underground Erosion and Its Danger to Civil Engineering

    Abstract. The process of erosion of rocks taking place at the depth which leads to the appearance of underground channels coming out on the slopes is considered. The collapse of their tops causes the formation of holes which are very dangerous to buildings and structures. A simple forecast solution making it possible to evaluate the diameters of collapses caused by underground erosion is offered.

    Abstract. Basic engineering and scientific problems of building development of territories which are potentially dangerous and already affected by loess pseudokarst are presented. It is shown, that this process is a geological phenomenon, most often having anthropogenic origin, very dangerous to construction.

    Abstract. Results of the specialized karst survey conducted in the township of Sernovodsk, the Samara Region, are considered. On the basis of the analysis of library materials of the engineering survey, geophysical investigations and drilling works, the underground and surface karst and suffusion forms are revealed. The relation of karst-suffusion dolines, sluggies, local and general saggings with tectonic fissures and joint fissures is shown.

  • Approbation of Diaphragm Wall Technology under Geological Engineering Conditions of St.Petersburg

    Abstract. Results of field investigations conducted for approbation of the technology in structurally unstable water-saturated soft clay soils typical for St. Petersburg are presented. It is noted, that the safety of application of the technology is ensured by strict observance of the procedure of operations conduct as well as by exclusion of disturbance of natural structure of soil on the territory of a construction site.

  • Assessment of Efficiency of Application of Non-Typical Kinds of Artificial Bases

    Abstract. The efficiency of application of non-standard artificial bases of foundations at 132 projects of industrial and civil purpose is analyzed. It is noted that the assessment of the effectiveness of objects is impossible without the use of alternate design of systems using standard and non-standard types of artificial bases.

  • On the Evaluation of a Statistical Model of Concrete Destruction under Biaxial Compression

    Abstract. It is proposed to use the statistical model of destruction for the evaluation of concrete strength under biaxial compression. The structure of concrete is presented in the form of a model consisting of the system of points of a true square lattice. Specifying the strength parameter for each point in the form of a random quantity, two possible types of destruction are considered: non-oriented under the uniaxial stress state and oriented under the biaxial stress state.

  • Constructions on the Basis of Wood Elements of Composite Section with Joints on Inclined Metal Rods without the Use of Glue

    Abstract. Strength and deformation characteristics of junctions of wood elements on the inclined metal rods (IMR) without the use of glue obtained as a result of tests of samples of junctions and structures of full sizes are considered. The developed range of bearing structures with a span of 6 - 21 m on the basis of wooden elements of composite section with IMR-junctions for the use in the I-III regions according to the weight of snow cover is presented.

  • Simulation of Technological Processes of Joint Grouting of Frame Buildings at Year-Round Execution of Work

    Abstract. A brief characteristic of precast-monolithic framed systems and technology of construction of buildings at year-round execution of work is presented. Basic provisions of the joint-grouting technique at negative temperatures are given. Technological stages of structural elements warming, heating of a concrete mix with heating wires and their process conditions are optimized. The FEM-simulation in a software package «ELCUT» is used as a main calculation method.

    Abstract. Results of the study of application possibility of bore mud (a by-product of oil-and-gas industry) for manufacture of wall ceramic materials are expounded. Data on its composition and properties are presented. Compositions of raw mixes have been developed; laboratory samples of a ceramic material with the use of the bore mud have been obtained.     Abstract. The authors base the modeling of activity of the technical customer on the account of interconnected functional procedures of main stages of realization of the investment-construction process. For each of these phases, organizational and management models in the form of a line graph is built with indication of basic functions of the technical customer and the average duration of each function. An enlarged integrated model of activities of the technical customer and the distribution of the time limit according to stages of the investment and construction process are presented.

  • Discrete Models of Passage of Waves for Calculation of Sound Insulation in Buildings

    Abstract. A short critical review of the modern theory of sound insulation using single-layered enclosures is presented. The groundlessness of the dependence of insulation on the angle of sound incidence is shown; the possibility of existence of the spatial- frequency resonance at wave coincidence and the coefficient of losses of a structure defining the level of sound insulation lowering on resonances is denied. The substantiation of application of discrete models of sound transmission through a plate, in which the equations of laws of conservation of momentum and kinetic energy are used, is given. On the basis of discrete models, the practical method of calculation of sound insulation not not conceding on the accuracy of the modern regulatory methods, but featuring more versatility and simplicity is offered.

    Abstract. The calculation of beams of underhung cranes track for combined action of horizontal and vertical loads should be done according to the deformed scheme that make it possible to specify (up to 3 times) the calculated values of the cross deflections of track beams. The abatement of total calculated stresses in the lower chord as a result of such calculation reaches 20% comparing with the calculation recommended by the Track Designing Instruction.

    Abstract. In this paper the features of design of thin-walled metal structures are considered. Particularly the analysis of Z-cross-section cold-formed purlins according to Eurocode recommendations is represented. The method of calculation the value of spring stiffness CDA for case of using sandwich panels is proposed. The possibility of applying proposed method is verified by results of experimental tests and numerical analysis done with the use of computing program NASTRAN.

  • Automation of Process of Ash-Slag Mixes Grinding

    Abstract. The controlled automated process of production of an organic-mineral additive (OMD) in the ball-tube mill is considered. The system of optimal functioning of pneumatic transportation of OMD with low power consumption ensuring the production of maximum quantity of additive with specified quality characteristics has been developed. The use of OMD on the basis of ash-slag mixes for the production of fine concrete reduces the cement consumption by 30-40%.

    Abstract. Features of the survey of technical conditions of building and structures of historical development on the example of a building of 1913 in the city of Kursk are considered. The influence of reconstruction and extension of the building on the change of engineering-geological conditions, on the design scheme of the building in whole and its separate elements is shown.

  • Change of a Chemical Composition of Underground Waters in Case of Operational Growth of Power of an Aeration Zone

    Abstract. A negative trend in the change of chemical composition of underground waters at water intakes of the Kursk Region is revealed. The basic process of chemical composition transformation - oxidation of sulfides and dissolution of carbonates and sulphates in the expanding zone of aeration as a result of the intensive operation - has been established. The developed mathematical model makes it possible to predict the changes in the composition of underground waters and to control their quality.
