  • Design and Operation of Sprayed Collectors for Heat Pumps

    Issues of the energy efficiency of engineering equipment of buildings, heat pumps in particular, are considered. A method of enhancement of energy efficiency of heat pumps operation using underground collectors in the capacity of cooling equipment is proposed. It is shown, that the flushing of collectors with rain water improves the heat conductivity of soil that produces a considerable economic effect. All the studies results of which are stated in the article are conducted on the basis of up-to-date equipment manufactured in Germany.

    The high rate of energy consumption in the construction industry is both a substantial problem of national scale and a very perspective sphere of investments with low risks and high profitability.   • Analysis of Main Provisions of the Code of Rules SP 14.13330.2011 SNIP II-7-81* Construction in Seismic Regions

    The main provisions of the code of rules SP 14.13330.2011 "SNIP II-7-81* Construction in seismic regions" are analyzed. It is shown that the presented draft document should be revised with participation of a wide circle of experts in the field of the theory of seismic stability of buildings and structures. To ensure the seismic stability of modern buildings and structures (high-rise, long-span, complex architecture etc.) especially those which were not tested by earthquakes it is necessary to introduce corresponding requirements into the updated version of SNiP II-7-81*.

  • Evaluation Model of a Rational Choice of Organizational and Technological Decisions for Restoration Work

    A model of optimization of technological processes of building production and selection of rational decisions in the course of restoration work (RW) is offered. The conditions and parameters which influence on the choice of rational organizational and technological decisions and also the destabilizing factors complicating the execution of RW are described; the parameters of the system of construction management under special circumstances are considered. The article contains the aggregative scheme of the model for the calculation according to the known data of resulting indicators - the duration and cost of works under special conditions.

  • Building Materials on the Basis of Secondary Polypropylene

    The basic physical-mechanical properties and heat resistance of the secondary polypropylene are considered. It is shown, that the use of mineral fillers enhances the strength of building materials on the basis of the secondary polypropylene. The optimum content of the fillers studied is 15-20 wt.%. The technique of assessing the mechanical durability of building materials on the basis of the secondary polypropylene is offered.

    The influence of mineral fillers, phosphorus- and halogen-containing plasticizers, fire- retardants on the fire hazard of polymeric building materials on the basis of PVC, epoxy oligomers and synthetic rubbers is considered. Data on the influence of the apparent density on the fire hazard of polymeric heat-insulating materials are presented.

  • Features of DeformationsTaking Place in Concrete Hardening Under Conditions of a Hot Climate

    Issues connected with the study of deformations of concretes hardening under conditions of elevated temperatures are considered. The effect of temperature of concrete and massiveness of structures on the deformation of concrete is established. The influence of character and sizes of deformations on properties and quality of concrete evidenced by strength properties of concrete is experimentally revealed. On the basis of these results, the proposals to create the favourable conditions for concrete in the course of construction of monolithic structures under conditions of a hot climate have been developed.

  • Typology of Rural Settlements and Their Territorial Groups in Modern Conditions

  • Analysis of Work of Ties in Deformation Joints of High-Rise Buildings and Recommendations for Their Design

    High-rise buildings are characterized by the developed plan and it is necessary to cut them into sections by deformation joints. However, the influence of wind or relative settlement can increase the horizontal displacement of sections and, as a result, the exceeding of accelerations and "dumping" of the sections on each other become possible. Modes for increasing the wind rigidity of the buildings and for reducing the influence of relative settlement by using inserts of various types in deformation joints are considered.

    The article is devoted to the development of a permanent situation-optimization model of a built-up territory for making appraisal forecasting calculations of underflooding. The complex developed makes it possible to detect the excess of the critical level of ground water for different objects, account the different limitations for development of control actions, account and introduce all archive and library data, forecast the processes caused by underflooding and predict the flooded area due to rise of water level in a water body.
