    The review of under construction sports constructions and an infrastructure of the Olympic Games 2014 is spent.     A principle of interaction of a person (as a consumer of environment) and the shopping & entertainment centers' environment (SEC) is considered. It is a multilateral process based on the evaluation of a trading space by a customer. What factors influence perception of a buyer and on what it depends, how it affects the formation of architectural-artistic image of SEC, how its environment can affect the decision on purchases are established.

    A hange in the role of religious facilities in the urban development is noted. A proposal for development of a space-planning structure of Orthodox cult buildings is substantiated during the analysis of composite-town-planning characteristics of the mass urban development and finds its functional-constructive substantiations.

  • Psychological Issues of Implementing the Methodology of Construction Project Management

    The problems interfering with the introduction of up-to-date control systems in the building organizations are analyzed. The motivation of the staff and the behaviour of employees at the prospects of changes in a company are considered. It is proposed to use the E. Goldratt's model "Six layers of resistance" for solution of the problems of resistance of the construction organization's employees to changes.

  • Study of Folded-Plate Reinforced Concrete Roofs Which Are Beyond the Limit State

    Results of experimental studies and numerical simulation of straining and failure of folded-plate reinforced concrete roofs of the operating industrial buildings which are in an out-of-limit state are presented. It is proposed to carry out an analysis of survivability of these systems in the process of development of projects of such roofs along with the traditional methods of verifying calculations with due regard for limit states.

  • Scientific-Technical Support of Designing and Construction of Bearing Structures of Unique Buildings and Facilities

    The experience in scientific-technical support (STS) of designing and construction of bearing structures of unique buildings and facilities is summarized. The tasks of STS are formulated; main propositions of their decision are presented: development of "Special Technical Specifications" and scientific support at all stages of designing; investigation of a physical model of a structure, tests of complicated full-scale units; development of recommendations for protection against an avalanche-type (progressing) collapse at emergency impacts; scientific support of manufacturing and assembling of a structure; monitoring at stages of construction and operation of a facility.

  • Experimental Research of Contact Strength between Reinforcing Element's and Cement Stone

    Results of the experimental study of using the different types of hollow metal reinforcing bars in the course of construction of self-drilling ground anchors and micro-piles are presented. The test results show that adhesion of metal with cement exceeds adhesion of piles with soil.

  • On the Issue of Possibility of Using the Walls Made of Cellular Concrete Blocks in Seismic Areas

    On the basis of experimental research in the strength of masonry made of cellular concrete blocks using cement mortar and the glued composition YTONG during axial stretching, cutting, stretching at bending and skew it is concluded, that the use of wall masonry made of cellular cement blocks (concrete of B3.5 class) is acceptable for buildings constructed in seismic areas of Russia.

  • Simulation of Changes in Operational Condition of Highways Taking into Account Qualitative Information

    The technique of simulation of changes in the operational condition of highways is proposed. This technique makes it possible to use the potential of fuzzy logic for processing of qualitative information. Advantage of this approach is a possibility of elimination of the subjectivity inherent to a logical-linguistic model of predictions on the basis of implementation of the training procedures of a fuzzy neural network.

    On the example of creative development of A. S. Fisenko and A. Kan, Russian and American architects, the contribution of each of them to the formation of the Soviet industrial architecture in 1930s is analyzed. The introduction of the line-conveyer method of designing has favored the fulfillment of the first five-year plans and become a basis of designing for many decades.
